Two Summer Drinks for Chocophiles

Here are two luscious chocolate cocktails for summer. The Mayan Chocolate Mojito was created by Karisma Hotels Resorts on the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It’s the perfect solution for chocophiles who are having trouble choosing between dessert and a late night aperitif.

The Nutella Martini comes from Riccardo Ullio, Chef and Owner of Atlanta’s Sotto Sotto and Fritti Restaurants. Guests often order this drink to compliment Chef Ullio’s famous Zuppa al Cioccolato (click here for story and recipe.).

Mayan Chocolate Mojito

1 ½ oz simple syrup
Ice
2 ½ oz white cacao liqueur
½ oz dark rum
Garnish: 4 mint leaves
Glassware: High ball glass

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the lime pieces with the simple syrup and three of the mint leaves. Then strain into an ice-filled high ball glass. Add the Cacao liquor, top with the rum and garnish with the remaining mint leaf.

Nutella Martini
