Tucson’s Westward Look Sonoran Spa
Goes Chocolate for February

What’s not to love about chocolate? You eat it, of course, every day, anytime, anywhere. You eat it when you’re in love and when you fall out of love. And now that it’s been determined that dark chocolate can be good for you, you can eat it virtuously.

But who figured out that when you slathered hot fudge sauce on your face it might actually be good for your skin? Hershey may have started it, but chocolate spa treatments are everywhere. The Sonoran Spa at Westward Look in Tucson has these chocolate Valentine’s specials for the month of February.

Cupid’s Cocoa Amore Body Treatment. Chocolate lovers will melt for this cocoa scrub. Enjoy an application of chocolate body syrup and exfoliating chocolate mineral scrub over the entire body, followed by a wrap and scalp massage. The scrub is then removed with warm towels and chocolate whip crème moisturizes your skin to complete the treatment.

Chocolate and Cherries Jubilee Facial. Rich Hungarian cocoa and fragrant cherries will satisfy your craving for beautiful skin this season. This treatment hydrates and refines your skin with lush, nutrient-loaded organic cherries, herbs and chocolate.

While you’re enjoying your treatment, satisfy your sweet tooth with an order of chocolate-dipped strawberries. Be virtuous and have it with sparkling water or juice or be decadent and have your fruit with a glass of champagne.

Westward Look began in 1912 as the hacienda-style dream home of William and Maria Watson. It grew into a thriving dude ranch, then a full-service resort. The lush 80-acre oasis features two nature trails with interpretive displays, four specialty gardens, a small nature museum and a high-powered telescope. On-site activities include tennis, horseback riding, hiking, birding and swimming, plus golf and mountain biking. The Gold Room, with its spectacular city views and renowned cuisine by Chef Jamie West, has long been a favorite for intimate, romantic dinners, engagements and anniversaries. The informal Lookout Bar and Grille features comfort food and plus live entertainment.
