Shutters on the Beach Launches Exclusive

The exotic chocolate bar was created by Katrina Markoff, president of Vosges Haut-Chocolat for Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. The rich and creamy dark milk chocolate bar (40% cacao) is combined with scrumptious sea salt and California smoked almonds. The sweet and salty essences mix on the pallet and are finished with just the right amount of wave crunch. Markoff says she created the candy bar to represent the Southern California coastline at night – thick never-ending dark skies with fresh salty air and waves that crash on the rocks along the beach. “No one could possibly think of Shutters on the Beach without images of the sea rocking beyond long vistas and salt-dusted beach coming to mind,” she says. “Smell the bar and you will feel the California sky.” This exclusive Shutters candy bar is available in Vosges Haut-Chocolat stores in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas. It is for sale in the minibars and gift shops of all three Edward Thomas Hotels; Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica and Hotel Andalucia Santa Barbara as well as through www.shuttersonthebeach.com.
