at Universal Orlando, a Loews Hotel, and Chef Laurent Lhuillier, executive
pastry chef at
The Amoretti 2005 National Pastry Team Championship, held in Phoenix in July, was a grueling 13-hour, two-day competition that tested the skills of America’s top pastry chefs. Teams were required to make a chocolate showpiece, a sugar showpiece, three identical cakes, three identical frozen desserts, 14 identical plated desserts and an assortment of small cakes and bonbons.
The 2006 World Pastry Team Championship will have “Team USA” compete against teams from 11 other countries for the title of World Pastry Team Champion. Carymax, LLC, a New York City-based event production company created the National and World Pastry Team Championship, as well as other competitions and forums nationwide. |
