Langham Boston’s Chocolate Bar
Returns for Its 17th Season

More than 30 desserts will be on the menu every Saturday in Café Fleuri.

Chocolate lovers rejoice! The Langham Boston’s award-winning Chocolate Bar opens for its 17th season starting September 10. Every Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. through the end of May chocolate lovers will be dazzled by the array of chocolate temptations presented by Master Pastry Chef John Quinn in the hotel’s Café Fleuri. More than 30 desserts ranging from chocolate tortes, seasonal cheese cakes, crème caramels, “create a crêpe” station, crème brûlée, chocolate mousse and the Langham Boston’s signature chocolate croissant bread pudding and hand-made chocolate “sushi” will be on the menu.

Two new features this year are a fondue station and the “Zing Bar.  The fondue station will have different-flavored warm chocolates accompanied by assorted dipping items such as cheese cake, pound cake, pretzels, fruits, scones and biscotti. The Zing Bar combines chocolate with exotic and everyday spices. Guests can dip their home made truffle “lollipops” in an array of ever changing toppings such as: cayenne pepper, paprika, saffron, curry, ginger, espresso and candied fruits.

The Chocolate Bar welcomes guests with diabetic or dietary needs to enjoy the sugar-free dessert of the month, made with Splenda.  These delicious low-carb desserts may include: ricotta cheese tart, almond tart, chocolate mousse cake and chocolate pot de crème.

The Chocolate Bar is a perfect setting for bridal and baby showers and birthday parties. Gift certificates are available. Reservations are recommended by calling 617-451-1900 x 7125

From September 1 through the end of the year, visitors to Boston can take advantage of the hotel’s “Chocolate Experience,” which includes an overnight stay, breakfast for two and the Saturday Chocolate Bar. The hotel is located at Pearl and Franklin Streets, convenient to the shopping district.
