Chocolatier Blue, Mill Valley, CA www.chocolatierblue.com recently opened in the Strawberry Village Mall. It joins a retail store location in Berkeley. Artisan chocolatier Chris Blue creates chocolates with unusual and classically flavored fillings. Blue spent his childhood summers on his family’s farm in Nebraska where he says he learned the importance of supporting local farmers. He worked under renowned chef Charlie Trotter in Chicago and was taught how to best use fresh, organic ingredients. Chocolatier Blue creations begin with Domori chocolate from Italy and include Five Star brand organic butter, which has the highest fat content of any butter in the world. Cooking techniques such as sous vide, grilling, and roasting are used to make the fillings, which contain no artificial flavors, extracts, compounds, preservatives, or pre-made purees. Selection available at Chocolatier Blue changes seasonally.

Season 52, Plano, TX www.season52.com in the Shops at Legacy, has added Sugar-Free Chocolate Cookies & Cream Mini Indulgence, a chocolate mousse layered with cookie crumbles, too its menu. Seasons 52 changes the menu four times a year with weekly fresh features. Nothing on the menu is more than 475 calories, from the signature flatbreads and appetizers, to all entrees and the Mini Indulgence desserts.
