Egg-tra Special Easter Eggs

The Conrad hotels are one of our favorite places to stay, so we are seldom surprised by their attention to detail and ability to make guests feel welcome. Every stay at a Conrad Hotel is special but the chocolate Easter egg display at the Conrad Hong Kong definitely is egg-tra special. The display of giant chocolate Easter eggs on the way into the Garden Cafe is impressive and imaginative. In fact, they are just as impressive as the breakfast buffet that is designed to tempt the palates of all nationalities.

Besides the beautifully designed chocolate eggs in both dark and milk chocolate, there are huge chocolate bunnies and ducks next to the usual assortment of chocolate truffles and other delights. The chocolate display appeals to all regardless of their cultural heritage. Billy Yuen, the Conrad’s Asst. Chef Patisser, expresses his creativity not only at Easter time but throughout the year. He creates delicious chocolates for Valentine’s Day and guests can enjoy Chef Yuen’s Chinese Zodiac chocolates year round.

When we think of the Easter season we also think of spring and flowers. The Conrad Hong Kong is located on Hong Kong Island with accommodations soaring 61 floors above Pacific Place. All accommodations and the Executive Club Lounge offer an expansive view of Victoria Harbor, Kowloon, and Victoria Peak.

One of the things we love about Hong Kong s the parks. One of the most beautiful city parks is just steps away from the Conrad Hotel. If the chocolate Easter eggs at the Conrad are a sign that spring is on the way, then the flowers in Hong Kong Park are proof. We love walking through the park with its ponds, waterfalls, and beautiful red spring flowers. The park is home to Hong Kong's largest aviary and the historic Flagstaff House Museum of Tea.

After an enjoyable time wandering Hong Kong Park and power shopping for luxury items at the multitude of shops in Pacific Place, John and I love to return to the Conrad for afternoon tea in their Executive Lounge. In the evening we usually head to Nicholini’s Restaurant, Conrad Hong Kong's signature restaurant. The restaurant specializes in Northern Italian cuisine and delicious homemade pastas. Nicholini's has been voted "Hong Kong's Best Restaurant" by Hong Kong Tatler for 18 consecutive years. After dinner we head back to the top floor Executive Lounge to sip our coffee while enjoying the lights of Kowloon. When we retire to our room for the night we usually find some luscious chocolates waiting.
