Coastal Mist, Bandon, OR,
offers 41 varieties of artisan chocolates, chocolate truffles and
desserts, including premium individual cheese cakes, layer cakes,
petite gateau and artisan chocolates. Owner Tara and Kevin Shaw and
Nicole Malloy have more than fifty years of combined chocolate
experience. Their confections are made with local ingredients
without chemicals or preservatives.
Saint Patrick’s Day specialties for 2010
Guinness Pints: Dark chocolate shell filled with Guinness
flavored dark chocolate ganache and topped with a “frothy head”
of white chocolate.
Baileys and Milk Chocolate: Milk chocolate shell filled with a
Baileys Irish cream and milk chocolate soft ganache.
Guinness Marshmallows: Fresh marshmallows flavored with Guinness
stout and Madagascar vanilla.
Stout Gateau: A cocoa almond Joconde sponge cake filled with
Belgian milk chocolate mousse and a Guinness stout pudding. It
is topped with chocolate glaze, chocolate cream, chocolate
medallion and 22 carat gold leaf.
Black & Tan Verrine: Layers of smooth Harps pastry cream and a
Guinness stout mousse with a surprise layer of pretzels and
topped with whipped cream and a chocolate dipped pretzel.
