The $750 Decadence d’Or cupcake is the star of Sweet Surrender, the Palazzo Las Vegas cupcake and candy store. Long Nguyen, executive pastry chef of The Venetian and The Palazzo is the visionary behind the Decadence d’Or and Johann Springfield, head baker makes the cupcakes a reality. Other cupcake flavors include Red Velvet, Chocolate Ganache, Black Forest, and Chocolate Fudge.

The main ingredient in Decadence D’Or is Palmira Single Estate Chocolate. This chocolate varietal is derived from the rare Porcelana Criollo bean and cultivated exclusively at the Valrhona plantation in Venezuela. Complementing the chocolate is Tahitian Gold Vanilla Caviar. After the pod is ripened for nine months, then hand-harvested, cured, sweated, dried, and hand-split, the vanilla is manually extracted. Topping the cupcake is smooth icing flavored with Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac, 100 years in the making, and edible gold flakes, each hand-placed. Finally, this grand dessert is encased in a hand blown sugar fleur-de-lis and presented on an elegant crackled-gold glass curved plate and bowl.
