Bucks County Chocolate Show

The second annual Bucks County Chocolate Show is set for Sunday, May 31, 2009, in New Hope, PA.

The show will feature a variety of new trendsetting chocolatiers: Prestige Chocolates with artisanal chocolates, Laurie's Hot Chocolates, assorted delights by Doves Chocolate Adventure and more. A highlight of the show is an assortment of hand-made Fair Trade Organic Vegan Chocolates from chocolatier Mark La Polla of Life by Chocolate, Greenville, NY.

Presenters include Ed Seguine of MARS: Pierre Chouard from Vintage Plantation Chocolates, one of the first certified by the Rainforest Alliance; and Danielle Ferrante of the Chocolate Box. Chocolatier Cheri Lee will discuss wine and chocolate pairing.

A portion of the admission proceeds will be donated to National Wildlife Federation.

Show organizer Gretchen Tartakoff, who is owner of The Chocolate Bar in New Hope, says , “The quest for me now is to have more chocolatiers, bakers, pastry chefs or cooks who are creating things that are gluten-free, with chocolate, kosher with chocolate, or raw chocolate.”
