Cherries Divine Chocolatiers creates
long-stemmed, hand-dipped, gourmet chocolate-covered cherries, using
a recipe that dates back generations.
Linda Freeman, mother/mother-in-law of Cherries
Divine owners and chocolatiers Andy and Stacey Freeman, had been
making sweet butter cream coated, chocolate-covered cherries for her
family and friends for years, when Andy, then in the printing
business, started bringing his mother’s cherries with him on sales
calls. Before he even got back to the office, he would have
requests—not for his printing services, but for his mother’s
cherries. Andy capitalized on this demand, and with a recipe from
mother to son Cherries Divine Chocolatiers was born in Atlanta, GA.
Mother Linda still helps out from time to time,
wrapping each uniquely flavored maraschino cherry from the Columbia
River Gorge of the Pacific Northwest in butter cream and then
hand-dipping it in milk, white or dark chocolate, all the while
keeping the long-stems intact. The result is confections as
aesthetically pleasing as they are satisfying to the palate.
Cherries Divine don't ooze, like most chocolate
cherry confections, contain only 70 calories and are trans-fat free.
They are packaged in platinum-embossed boxes with chocolate brown
borders.
They have been featured on
The Today Show and as the
snack of the day on Rachael
Ray.
