Stay Warm: Three Hot Chocolate Recipes
Not for the Kids



 
 


Red Hot Chocolate

1 ounce Campari
2 ounces brandy
3 ounces whole milk
2 tablespoons chocolate chips (at least 55% cocoa)

 

 

 

 


These two recipes feature cocoa mixes from Moonstruck Chocolate Co. and ULLR Nordic Libation, a peppermint cinnamon schnapps from Hood River Distillers in Oregon.

Mayan Hot Cocoa

4 tbsp Moonstruck Mayan Hot Cocoa
8 oz whole milk
1 oz ULLR

Mix 4 tbsp Mayan Hot Cocoa and 8 oz whole milk.Heat to just a boil (do not scald). Reduce heat, add desired amount of ULLR. Stir slowly until smooth and shiny. Pour hot cocoa cocktail into a mug and garnish with whip cream, chocolate shavings, candy canes, or cinnamon sticks.

 

Dark Hot Cocoa

4 tbsp Moonstruck Dark Hot Cocoa
8 oz whole milk
1 oz ULLR

Mix 4 tbsp Dark Hot Cocoa and 8 oz whole milk. Heat to just a boil (do not scald). Reduce heat, add desired amount of ULLR. Stir slowly until smooth and shiny.
