A Smorgasbord of Chocolate for Your Body

Was all this chocolate making my mind go to mush or did these people think I was an idiot who would turn down any kind of indulgent pampering?

Imagine having your body rubbed with chocolate raspberry creams, scrubbed with chocolate cake oil combined with cabernet grape seeds and then being wrapped in a tingly chocolate peppermint wrap while someone slowly massages your scalp.

Sound like a dessert buffet at an orgy?

No, it is a series of indulgent treatments called the Chocolate Decadence at Daired’s  Salon and Spa Pangéa in Arlington, Texas

When I entered the sleek looking spa, there was eye candy everywhere—yummy lotions and potions to take home, fragrant candles, jewelry and more. I bought three funny contemporary cards while waiting for my treatment to begin.  A greeter took me to the changing room and gave me a gift bag of chocolates. I knew then I had signed up for the right thing.

My favorite part was the warm chocolate mint wrap. The therapist lathered this thick cream on my body, told me it might tingle and to let her know if it was too much. Too much? I loved every minute of it. I kept fantasizing about my new lover and hoping he would be available later to feel my smooth skin and perhaps sniff the chocolate aura my body had acquired.

The therapist asked if I could like a scalp massage while snuggled in the warm wrap. Another silly question. Of course I would! Was all this chocolate making my mind go to mush or did these people think I was an idiot who would turn down any kind of indulgent pampering? After enjoying the scalp massage I finally got up enough energy to ask if anyone turned it down. Apparently some people do. So I asked what those people got. She told me a foot massage. I will try to remember that for next time.

I certainly hope there will be a next time. While this service was created for Valentine’s Day, there were other delicious flavors and options available on the menu at Daired’s.
